Vonnie had her surgery today. Latissimus Dorsi Flap procedure. The surgery took 5 hours and
all went well. We will be in the
hospital for 2 to 3 days. She is
currently on heavy pain meds and resting.

About Vonnie
Vonnie is married with three married children and five grandchildren. She was diagnosed on Feb. 4, 2009 with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (HER2+) in the right breast. She had a right breast mastectomy on Feb. 23 with 28 nodes removed. Her last chemotherapy was August 10 and left mastectomy was done on September 8. 5 1/2 weeks of radiation was completed on November 4. We thank God for his guiding hand during this ordeal and pray that a cure is found soon for all those that are dealing with cancer or are yet to be diagnosed.
(2017 - now 7 wonderful grandchildren!)
